【College Party Building】The Theoretical Learning Center Group of the Party Committee of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture Held the 8th Collective (Expanded) Meeting in 2025 and the Collective Study of the Study Class on In-depth Implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulation

On the morning of June 20, the Theoretical Learning Center Group of the Party Committee of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture carried out the 8th collective (expanded) study in 2025 and the study class on in-depth implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulation in Room 216 of the East Teaching Building. Lin Kai, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, presided over the study. All members of the central group participated in the study, and members of the Discipline Inspection Commission attended the meeting as non-voting delegates.

At the meeting, Comrade Wu Bin systematically led the study on the profound connotation and contemporary value of the Dabie Mountain Spirit, the Flood Fighting Spirit and the Anti-epidemic Spirit; Comrade Wan Linbo analyzed a series of typical cases of violating the Central Eight-Point Regulation publicly reported by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and State Supervision Commission and the central working group recently and made a clean government reminder; Comrade Peng Kai led the study on the key contents of the Regulations on Practicing Economy and Opposing Waste in Party and Government Organs.

Comrade Shang Yijun shared his learning experience. He believed that the three spirits were formed in different historical periods and are valuable spiritual wealth of the people of Hubei. The Dabie Mountain Spirit is in the same line as the spirit of construction engineering, demonstrating the fine tradition of hard work; the Flood Fighting Spirit embodies the fighting will of uniting as one and working together, providing spiritual guidance for cultivating students' ability to deal with major risks; the Anti-epidemic Spirit interprets the great love of putting life first and sacrificing one's life for others. As ideological and political workers, we should cultivate people with the three spirits, and hand over excellent answers in the journey of building a strong education country.

Comrade Luo Yi shared his learning experience. He believed that Chinese Communists have always remained true to their original aspiration and kept their mission in mind, forging ahead with a pioneering and enterprising spirit. The Regulations on Practicing Economy and Opposing Waste in Party and Government Organs have provided us with fundamental guidelines and injected strong impetus. We should adhere to scientific decision-making and democratic decision-making to prevent major decision-making mistakes; uphold the purpose of serving the public wholeheartedly to effectively solve the practical difficulties of the faculty and staff; always think and work together with the people, and constantly create a new situation in the development of the cause while overcoming various risks and challenges.

Comrade Lin Kai made a concluding speech. He pointed out that today's concentrated study has profoundly explained the connotation of the three spirits, and pointed out the direction for the work style construction of the whole college through the analysis of typical cases and the systematic study of the Regulations. We should earnestly improve our political standing, take practicing economy and opposing waste as a political requirement, and draw loyalty and feelings for the people from the three spirits; focus on key areas such as fund management and resource use to make precise policies, and carry forward the fighting spirit and scientific attitude；consolidate the main responsibility, strengthen full-chain supervision, and severely punish disciplinary violations. We must translate the value pursuits such as loyalty, responsibility, and scientific pragmatism embodied in the three spirits into practical actions of running the college diligently and frugally. Leading cadres should take the lead in living a tight life, jointly create a clean and upright campus environment, and provide a solid style guarantee for the high-quality development of the college.
