【College Party Building】The School of Civil Engineering and Architecture Carried Out Joint Party Building and School-Enterprise Cooperation Activities with the Central South Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau

In order to thoroughly implement the general requirements for party building in the new era and promote the in-depth integration of industry, education and research under the leadership of party building, on April 17, the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture and the Central South Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau jointly carried out joint party building and school-enterprise cooperation activities in the Wuhan Sanzhen Central Project. Chen Wei, Vice Dean, Wan Linbo, Vice Dean, Shang Yijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhou Junli, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering, Wang Jinyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering and other teacher representatives, Song Jiangzeng, Specialist of the Central South Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau; relevant persons in charge of the Human Resources Department of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau Fourth Company, the Central South Company, and project managers in Wuhan area, totaling more than 20 people, attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the activity, Wang Jinyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, gave a special party lecture on the theme of Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, focusing on party building leading scientific and technological innovation and serving national strategic needs, encouraging party members from both sides of the school and enterprise to take on missions in industry-education-research cooperation and inject red impetus into the development of the industry.

At the unveiling ceremony of the party building brand, Shang Yijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Song Jiangzeng, Specialist of the Central South Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau, jointly unveiled the "School-Enterprise Joint Party Building Demonstration Site", marking that both sides will take party building as a link to promote organizational co-construction, resource sharing and talent co-cultivation. Subsequently, Vice Dean Wan Linbo and the representative of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau Central South Company signed the Agreement on Joint Party Building, Vice Dean Chen Wei and the company representative jointly unveiled the "School-Enterprise Cooperation Internship and Practice Base", and Deputy Secretary Shang Yijun and the person in charge of the Human Resources Department of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau signed the Agreement on Co-constructing Talent Training Joint Base, further building a cooperation framework of "party building + business" integration and mutual promotion.

At the forum, Vice Dean Chen Wei pointed out that the college will rely on the engineering advantages of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau in green buildings and intelligent construction to promote the accurate connection between scientific research and industrial needs. In the future, both sides will co-construct curriculum systems, share practical resources, and cultivate compound talents who "understand technology, can innovate and are good at management". Representatives of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau highly recognized the quality of talent training in the college, and proposed to deepen cooperation in student internship and employment, joint research projects, transformation of technological achievements, etc., to jointly build a benchmark for the integration of industry and education.

This joint party building activity is another innovative measure for the college to practice the school-running philosophy of "serving the industry and docking with the industry". In the future, the college will take the co-construction base as a platform to promote the in-depth integration of party building and business, explore new models such as "order-based" talent training and the construction of school-enterprise joint laboratories, help improve students' professional abilities and industry technological innovation, and contribute "WUT strength" to the high-quality development of the construction industry.
