Professor Wu Yongjia from Our School Awarded the 2025 "Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal"   

On April 30, the Hubei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Communist Youth League Hubei Provincial Committee, and the Hubei Youth Federation decided to award the 2025 "Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal", granting the "Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal Collective" to 65 collectives and the "Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal" to 96 comrades. Professor Wu Yongjia from our school was awarded the "Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal".   Wu Yongjia currently serves as a member of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Facing the national strategy of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, he led the team to pioneer the zero-energy consumption technology for atmospheric methane removal, which was cited and recommended twice in the annual reports of the United Nations Climate Change Conference. The high-performance thermoelectric power generation system developed by him solved the power supply problem in plateau environments, and the fluid self-driving technology developed by him supported the research and development of a new generation of lightweight heat dissipation components. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 national talent projects and the National Natural Science Foundation, published more than 80 academic papers in well-known domestic and foreign journals, and authorized 14 patents.
